Last updated 31 October 2026. The refund changes apply from Tuesday 1 December 2026.
Who we are
These are the terms of use for TIPR Pty Ltd (ACN 640 946 167) ("TIPR", "we", "us"). They apply when you use our websites and apps. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
What TIPR is
TIPR is a marketplace where tipsters sell tips and punters buy them. TIPR is not a bookmaker. Nobody can place a bet with TIPR, and TIPR does not pay out on the result of any bet. A Flip pays for a tip. It is not a bet, you cannot win money from TIPR, and Flips cannot be cashed out.
Who can use TIPR
TIPR is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand aged 18 or over. We check where you live when you sign up. You must tell us if you move country. Some features, including the bookmakers we list, depend on your country. You must give accurate details and keep your login private.
Account types
You choose Punter or Punter & Tipster when you sign up. You can change account type once every 30 days. Changing type does not pay out or forfeit earnings. Tips you have already posted stay live, cannot be edited, settle as normal and still earn commission.
Flips
A Flip costs $1 and is used to unlock a tip. Prices are in Australian dollars. A Flip is only ever spent on a tip that pays: $2 or more profit on $10 (multis: every leg).
- Singles: a single keeps your Flip only if a notional $10 bet at the price shown when you Flip makes $2 or more profit (a return of $12 or more). Otherwise your Flip comes back. Covers follow the same rule. If a selection is scratched or void, your Flip comes back.
- Multis: your Flip comes back unless every leg comes off (gets a tick). A win leg must finish first, and a place leg within the places declared in the official result. A dead heat counts as coming off. If a leg is scratched or void, the multi settles on the remaining legs. If fewer than 3 legs remain, or the combined price of the remaining legs falls below the minimum multi price, the multi is void and your Flips come back.
New accounts get 5 welcome Flips (worth $1 each) to try tips. Welcome Flips cannot be cashed out or refunded and do not expire. There is one set per person, and we may reverse welcome Flips if someone opens more than one account.
We may give you gift Flips, for example as a competition prize or to put something right. You use gift Flips like any other Flips, but they have no cash value, cannot be cashed out or refunded, and do not expire. If we give gift Flips by mistake, we may remove the ones you haven't used, and we'll tell you why.
When you Flip, we use welcome, referral, gift and prize Flips first, then Flips bought in the app, then Flips bought on tipr.bet. Your balance shows each kind separately.
Refunds of Flips you bought
You can ask for a refund of all the Flips you bought on tipr.bet and haven't used. A Flip returned because a tip didn't pay counts as unused. A refund covers all your unused bought Flips at once; we can't refund only some of them. You can get one refund every 90 days, counted from the day we paid your last refund.
Flips you bought before Tuesday 1 December 2026 are not affected by the 90-day limit: you can ask for a refund of those Flips at any time, even if you had a refund in the last 90 days.
If you close your account, we refund all your unused Flips bought on tipr.bet, whenever you close it. For Flips bought in the app, see "Flips you buy in the TIPR app".
Once we approve a refund, we pay it to your original payment method within 14 days, or by another method if that isn't possible. Welcome, referral, gift and prize Flips can't be refunded or cashed out.
Flips you buy in the TIPR app. Flips you buy in the TIPR app on iPhone or Android are paid through Apple or Google, not TIPR, and we can't refund those payments ourselves. To ask for a refund, use Apple's or Google's refund process; their rules decide whether a refund is given. If Apple or Google refunds a purchase, we remove the unused Flips from that purchase. If you've already used some of them, we may remove other bought Flips to cover the ones you used, but your balance never goes below zero. When you close your account, we ask Google to refund your unused Flips bought in the Android app; for Flips bought in the iPhone app, you can ask Apple for a refund. Flips you buy on tipr.bet are refunded by us as set out above. When you Flip, we use your Flips in the order set out in "Flips" above, so Flips bought on tipr.bet are used last and stay refundable for as long as possible. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If something goes wrong with our service, contact us and we'll put it right.
If we can't pay money we owe you (for example, we can't reach you), we keep it for you and deal with it as the law requires, including the Unclaimed Money Act 1990 (WA). We never keep it as our own.
Referrals
You can invite friends with your referral link. When a friend you referred makes their first Flip purchase, you get the number of referral Flips shown on your referrals page at that time. A change to the reward applies only to first purchases made after the change. There is one reward for each friend. Referral Flips have no cash value, cannot be cashed out or refunded, and do not expire.
If your friend's first purchase is refunded or charged back, or we find fraud, we'll remove any referral Flips from that referral you haven't used. We never remove Flips you bought because of a referral. Bought Flips are only removed as set out in "Flips you buy in the TIPR app". Your balance never goes below zero. We'll tell you when we remove referral Flips.
You must not refer yourself, an account you control or a fake account. If you do, we may remove the referral Flips.
Tipsters, commission and payouts
Singles and covers: you earn $0.25 for each Flip of a tip that pays (one that makes $2 or more profit on a notional $10 at the price shown when the member Flipped). Multis: when every leg comes off, you earn $0.25 for each Flip of the multi's price (for example, $1.00 on a 4-Flip multi). Both apply whichever kind of Flips the punter used. To be paid, you need a Stripe account. You enter your bank details with Stripe. TIPR never sees or stores your full account details; we only receive your bank's name and the last few digits, so you can recognise the account.
Commission becomes payable 9 days after the tip settles. Once your payable balance reaches $10, or a lower amount we show on your Earnings page, we pay it to your Stripe account. We may hold a payout while we look into a refund, chargeback or suspected fraud. We'll tell you why, and we'll aim to finish looking into it within 30 days.
Earnings below the payout minimum roll over and are never forfeited while your account is open.
Your public TIPR record. When you post tips on TIPR, your TIPR handle, your tips and your results are public. TIPR works out statistics from your settled tips (such as strike rate, ROI on TIPR's $10 unit, profit in TIPR units and streaks) and a TIPR rating that compares your all-time record with other tipsters who have 30 or more settled tips. We show these automatically on your profile, tip cards, leaderboards, results pages, competition boards and share cards, whatever they are. If you think a result or figure is wrong, contact support@tipr.bet and we'll check it and fix any error.
Withholding
We may withhold earnings only where they come from a breach of these terms (such as multiple accounts, self-referrals or fake accounts), from payments that are reversed or charged back, or where a court or regulator requires it. We will tell you the amount and the reason, and you can dispute it through our complaints process.
Closing your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing support@tipr.bet from the address on your account. If your account closes for any reason, we will refund your unused Flips bought on tipr.bet (for Flips bought in the app, see "Flips you buy in the TIPR app") and pay your whole earnings balance, whatever the amount, within 30 days, to the payout account you have verified with us, less any amount we are entitled to withhold above. If you do not have a verified payout account, we will ask you to set one up, using your account email at least three times over 90 days. If you still have not set one up after that, we will hold the balance for you and pay it whenever you ask. If it is still unclaimed after 6 years, we will pass it to the WA Department of Treasury and Finance under the Unclaimed Money Act 1990 (WA), and you can claim it from them.
Tips and conduct
Tips must not name, link to, brand or promote any bookmaker or betting offer. You must not post misleading results, open more than one account to claim welcome Flips, or use TIPR in a way that is unlawful or harms others. Past results don't guarantee future results, and TIPR does not guarantee any tip.
We may remove a tip, or suspend or close an account, if it breaks these terms, for suspected fraud or multiple accounts, or if the law requires it. We will tell you why, unless the law stops us. If we close your account, we will refund unused Flips bought on tipr.bet (see "Flips you buy in the TIPR app") and pay your earnings balance as set out above.
Your bookmaker
You can choose a preferred bookmaker. The bookmaker button next to a flipped tip opens that bookmaker's own website or app. TIPR has no affiliation with any bookmaker, receives nothing from them, and is not responsible for their services. Any bet is between you and your bookmaker. In Australia we only list bookmakers licensed in Australia. In New Zealand we only list TAB NZ and its brands. Tips are information, not a recommendation to bet.
Payments
Payments for Flips on tipr.bet are taken securely by Stripe. Flips bought in the TIPR app are paid through Apple or Google. TIPR never sees your card number.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or, for New Zealand users, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 (NZ).
Gambling help
You must be 18 or over to use TIPR. If you bet, gamble responsibly. In Australia, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858. In New Zealand, call the Gambling Helpline on 0800 654 655.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for a legitimate reason, such as a change in law, a new feature or a security need. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any change that is against your interests, by email and in the app. If you do not accept a change, you can close your account before it starts. We will then refund your unused Flips bought on tipr.bet (see "Flips you buy in the TIPR app") and pay your earnings balance under "Closing your account".
Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia. Contact us first at support@tipr.bet and we will respond within 10 business days. This does not limit your right to go to a consumer regulator or tribunal, including in New Zealand.
TIPR Cup Week Challenge: Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to the TIPR Cup Week Challenge (the Challenge). By taking part you agree to them and to the TIPR Terms and Conditions. If the two conflict, these terms apply to the Challenge.
1. Promoter
TIPR PTY LTD (ABN 53 640 946 167), 81-83 Campbell St, Surry Hills NSW 2010. Email: support@tipr.bet. In these terms, "TIPR", "we" and "us" mean the promoter.
2. Dates
1. The Challenge runs from 12:00am Tue 3 Nov 2026 to 11:59pm Sat 7 Nov 2026, Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) (the Challenge period).
2. A tip counts only if its race is scheduled to start during the Challenge period.
3. Results are final on Mon 9 Nov 2026 (AWST), once all counting races have results (the results date).
3. Who can take part
1. You can take part if you:
- are 18 or over;
- live in Australia or New Zealand; and
- have a TIPR account in good standing.
2. These people can't take part:
- TIPR's directors, officers, employees and contractors;
- their immediate families (spouse or partner, parent, child, sibling) and anyone living with them;
- anyone involved in running the Challenge or deciding its results.
3. You may use only one account. We may ask you to prove your age, identity or where you live. If you don't, or if you're not eligible, we may remove you from the Challenge.
4. How to enter: free
1. Entry is free. You don't need to buy anything or spend Flips to enter or to have your tips count.
2. There is no separate sign-up. Tip as normal on TIPR during the Challenge period. Your counting tips go on the Challenge leaderboard automatically.
3. Creating a TIPR account is free.
5. Which tips count
1. A tip counts (a counting tip) only if all of these apply:
- it is a Single or Cover tip;
- it is on an Australian or New Zealand Thoroughbred race; and
- at the prices recorded when it was tipped, the whole tip could return $2.00 or more per $1 ($20 on a $10 unit).
2. A Cover tip counts if at least one way it can pay (one or more of its runners coming in) would return $2.00 or more per $1 on the whole tip.
3. Multis and other tip types don't count.
4. Tips on scratched runners, abandoned races or void races don't count.
5. Results come from TIPR's results data feed. Any change to official results after the results date is not taken into account.
6. Qualifying and ranking
1. To appear on the leaderboard and be eligible for a prize, you need at least 15 counting tips that are settled by the results date.
2. Qualified members are ranked by ROI over all their counting tips in the Challenge. ROI = total notional profit or loss divided by the total of the notional $10 units, at the prices recorded when tipped. Each tip uses one notional $10 unit. A Cover tip's $10 is split across its 2 or more outcomes, and its return is the total of what those outcomes return. ROI is a statistic only. No money is staked or paid out on tips.
3. Ties. If two or more members have the same ROI, they are ranked in this order:
- 1. by higher strike rate (the share of counting tips that were profitable);
- 2. then by more counting tips;
- 3. then by who reached 15 counting tips first.
4. If members are still tied after that, the prizes for the tied places are added together and shared equally between them, rounded down to whole Flips. Any leftover Flips after rounding go to the higher-placed member under clause 6.3.
5. No part of the ranking or the tie-break is decided by a random draw.
7. Prizes
| Place | Prize |
|---|---|
| 1st | 1,000 prize Flips |
| 2nd | 500 prize Flips |
| 3rd | 250 prize Flips |
1. Total prize pool: 1,750 prize Flips, valued at about AU$1,750 (incl. GST), based on TIPR's standard price of $1 a Flip.
2. What prize Flips are:
- they can be used to Flip tips on TIPR under the TIPR Terms and Conditions;
- they have no cash value and can't be refunded, transferred, sold or cashed out;
- no cash or other alternative is offered;
- they don't expire while your account is open. Prize Flips are forfeited if your account is closed before they're added. Unused prize Flips are forfeited when an account closes.
3. If fewer than three members qualify, only the places that are filled get a prize. Prizes for unfilled places are not awarded.
4. Prizes are added to winners' accounts within 7 days after the Challenge ends, which is by Sat 14 Nov 2026 (AWST).
5. We'll tell winners by in-app notice and email within 2 days of the results date. We'll also show their TIPR handles on the Challenge leaderboard. We won't publish winners' real names.
6. Before awarding a prize, we may check that the winner meets these terms. If a winner isn't eligible, the next qualified member in the ranking moves up.
8. Fair play
We may disqualify a member, and remove their tips from the Challenge, if we reasonably believe the member has:
- used more than one account or acted with another person to change the results;
- tipped after a race started;
- exploited a technical fault; or
- otherwise broken these terms or the TIPR Terms and Conditions.
9. If something goes wrong
1. If something outside our reasonable control affects the Challenge, we may change, suspend or end the Challenge. Examples are a technical fault, a large number of abandoned races, fraud, or a direction from a regulator.
2. If we do, we'll tell members on TIPR. We'll treat members fairly, for example by ranking on the tips counted up to that point.
3. We won't change these terms in a way that reduces the prizes or makes it harder to qualify once the Challenge has started, unless the law or a regulator requires it.
10. Questions and complaints
1. Email support@tipr.bet. We'll reply within 5 business days.
2. Complaints must be made within 14 days of the results date, which is by Mon 23 Nov 2026.
3. We'll decide complaints fairly, in line with these terms, and tell you the reasons for our decision.
4. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, NZ consumer law, or any other law that can't be excluded.
11. Privacy
We use your account details and tips to run the Challenge, check eligibility, rank members, tell winners and add prizes. We handle your information as set out in our Privacy Policy. Your TIPR handle and Challenge results may be shown on the leaderboard to logged-in members, on your public TIPR profile, and in winner announcements.
12. Records
We'll keep records of entries, rankings and prizes for at least 12 months after the Challenge ends.
13. Other
1. TIPR is a tipping platform. It doesn't take bets or pay out winnings, and the Challenge doesn't involve placing bets.
2. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
