Last updated: 3 November 2026.
What's changed: We've updated this policy to cover our AI help chat and AI apps you choose to connect to TIPR; feedback and bug reports you send us, including screenshots and screen recordings, the emails our support team gets about them, and how long we keep them; support requests you send us, including files and screen recordings, how we use AI to help draft our replies, and how long we keep them; the mobile number, country, state or region and city you give us; your preferred bookmaker; the overseas service providers we use; the cookies our website uses, including optional Google Analytics cookies that are only used if you accept them; and the analytics and crash reporting in our mobile app, including the advertising ID it collects on Android. We've also removed two lines about marketing by business partners and third-party advertising, because TIPR doesn't do either.
Who we are
This is the privacy policy of TIPR Pty Ltd (ACN 640 946 167) (referred to as "TIPR", "we", "us", "our").
TIPR acknowledges the importance of protecting the privacy and rights of individuals in respect of their Personal Information. Set out below is our policy relating to the ways we collect and manage your Personal Information.
"Personal Information" (PI) is information we hold which is identifiable as being about you, which we collect as a result of your use of our websites, mobile phone or tablet applications, pages, or sites under the TIPR brand that are owned and operated by us (together, "the website", "mobile application"), your membership with TIPR, or whenever we otherwise deal with you. We are committed to ensuring that the PI we collect about you is protected and is used, stored, and disclosed in accordance with Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act). Please visit www.oaic.gov.au for more information.
This Privacy Policy will not apply to websites or mobile applications which are linked to this website or our mobile application and over which TIPR has no control.
Collection of personal information
The kinds of personal information that TIPR generally collects from you are:
- name;
- state of residence;
- country of residence;
- email address;
- mobile number (if you choose to give it);
- city or town (if you choose to give it);
- date of birth;
- for tipsters who set up payouts, your bank's name and the last few digits of your account, which Stripe sends us so you can recognise the account (Stripe holds your full bank details; we never see or store them);
- website and mobile application activity; and
- any other information relating to you and provided by you either directly or indirectly to us or our representatives from time to time.
If you choose a preferred bookmaker, we store that choice with your account. We use your country and state or region to show you bookmakers licensed where you live. We don't use them to track your location, and we never share them with bookmakers or AI apps, or sell them.
You must only provide accurate information that you are authorised to disclose in order to allow us to use your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We will ordinarily collect your personal information directly from you, primarily through your use of the website, mobile application, or over email communication. We may also collect personal information from others, for example our related companies, with whom we partner to offer you a wide range of services and rewards, or through our agents or affiliates whom we engage to undertake marketing activities.
We may also collect personal information from job applicants, our employees and individuals associated with our business partners and service providers. Usually, this information is limited to name and contact details and the other information we need for the purpose of processing a job application and managing our business relationships.
Collection purposes
TIPR will collect your PI for the following purposes:
- to open a TIPR account for you;
- to provide member services to you;
- to set up TIPR for where you live, using your country and state or region, to help with support, using your city if you give it, and to send you important account updates, including to your mobile;
- to identify you as a member for security purposes and to comply with our legal obligations;
- to upgrade and enhance your experience when using our website or mobile application;
- to tailor or develop information, services or products which we think may suit you;
- for marketing related purposes, including conducting research, conducting promotions, sending you newsletters and telling you (including via email, SMS or telephone) about products or services we think may be of interest to you; and
- to respond to enquiries and complaints from you and to establish, exercise or defend any legal claims.
By becoming a member or otherwise choosing to provide TIPR with PI, you consent to TIPR collecting your PI for the above purposes, and using and disclosing your PI as set out below.
Use and disclosure of personal information
TIPR may disclose your PI to a third party in the following circumstances:
- to our associated entities, agents and affiliates who undertake promotional and marketing activities on our behalf (including contacting you with special offers that may be of interest);
- to organisations that provide services (including IT, consultancy and advisory services) to us;
- to Stripe, our payment provider, to take payments for Flips and refunds and, for tipsters, to set up and make payouts of earnings to their bank account (Stripe holds card and bank details; we never see or store them);
- to enter into contracts with you or third parties;
- for other marketing and client relationship purposes;
- to offer co-branded services, such as competitions or other promotions together with a third party ("Co-Branded Services"). When this happens, we may share the information you submit in connection with the Co-Branded Service with the third party, or with our service providers who assist us to host Co-Branded Services. The third party's use of your information will be governed by their own privacy policy. We will obtain your consent to share your personal information with the third party. If you do not provide this consent, you may not be able to access that co-branded service;
- where you have consented to the disclosure either expressly or by the circumstances and your conduct;
- where we consider disclosure is reasonably necessary to investigate or deal with unlawful activity or serious misconduct;
- to establish or defend a legal claim; or
- where the disclosure is required or authorised by law.
When you create an account on the website or mobile application, your Username or Handle, and Avatar or Profile Picture, will be displayed publicly.
TIPR may use personal information to create aggregate data about TIPR members through demographic profiling and statistical analysis of its database, in order to allow for more efficient operation of the TIPR business. We may provide the information derived from such profiling or analysis in de-identified form to potential and existing stakeholders.
TIPR will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any personal information which is disclosed to a third party is protected by that party in accordance with the Privacy Act and is used only for the purpose or purposes for which we supplied that information to them. Usually, we do this by imposing contractual requirements on or seeking assurances from third parties as to their compliance with the Privacy Act.
Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Australia, mainly in the United States, and may also do so in other countries where they operate. They include Cloudflare (website hosting, security and file storage), Stripe (payments and payouts), xAI (our AI help chat), Google (email hosting, drafting replies to support requests and AI tools our staff use), SendGrid (sending our emails), Sender (UAB Sender.lt, Lithuania), which sends our member emails and stores data in the European Union, and Sentry (error reports from our servers, which may include technical details of the request, such as an IP address). Before we share personal information with an overseas service provider, we take reasonable steps to make sure it handles that information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and this Privacy Policy, for example through contract terms.
Our staff also use AI tools from Google to search and summarise TIPR's own records when running the service; any personal information in those records may be processed by Google outside Australia, including in the United States, under the same contract terms.
Google (Google Analytics / GA4) — analytics and crash reporting; may store and process data outside Australia (including the United States). Our mobile app also uses Firebase app notifications and app analytics, and Microsoft (App Center app analytics and crash reports). Those providers may store and process app usage and device information, including the Android advertising ID, outside Australia. See "Cookies and app analytics" below for what they collect.
If you connect an AI app to TIPR, we send the information you allow to that app's provider at your request. The provider handles it under its own privacy policy and may store and process it outside Australia and New Zealand, including in the United States. We tell you this, and ask for your consent, before you connect.
Our AI help chat
TIPR Pty Ltd (ABN 53 640 946 167) runs the TIPR help chat on our website.
When you use the TIPR help chat on our website, you are chatting with an AI assistant, not a person. It can make mistakes. We collect the messages you type and the assistant's replies to answer your questions, give support and keep the service safe.
- Your chat messages are processed by xAI, our AI provider, in the United States. xAI is subject to the laws of the United States, and its government may be able to access information it holds. Before a message is sent to xAI, we automatically remove card numbers, email addresses, phone numbers and other long numbers from it.
- We keep chat transcripts for 90 days, then they are deleted automatically. Transcripts are stored by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, which may store them outside Australia. They are linked to a random chat code, not to your name or account, unless you choose to send the chat to our support team (see below).
- The open chat is also kept in your web browser on your device for up to 2 hours of inactivity, so it isn't lost if you reload the page or open a new tab. Clearing your browser data removes it.
- If you mention suicide or self-harm, self-exclusion, gambling harm or money worries, the chat stops and points you to support services. If you tell us you are under 18, the chat closes.
- If the chat can't help, you can choose to send the conversation to our support team. Only if you choose to do this, we add the chat transcript to a support request, linked to your account if you're signed in or to the email address you give us, and handle it as described under "Support requests". If the chat stopped for your safety, a person, not the AI, will follow up.
- Please don't share card, bank, ID or health details in the chat. If you don't want to provide information through the chat, email us at support@tipr.bet instead.
- To access or delete your chat history, or to make a complaint, email support@tipr.bet. We will delete your chat history within 30 days of your request.
Support requests
When you contact TIPR support through our website, app or by email, we collect your name, email address, any phone number you give us, your TIPR handle, what you write, and any files or links you send (such as screenshots, PDFs or screen recordings). If you're signed in, we link your request to your account and fill in the details we already hold. We also collect basic details about your device and browser to help us fix problems.
We use this information to answer your request, look into problems with your account, purchases, tips or commissions, keep a record of what we've told you, and improve our support.
To reply faster, we use an AI service from Google (Gemini) to read the text of your request and suggest a draft reply. A member of our team checks every reply before it is sent to you. Google may process this text in the United States and other countries, and the governments of those countries may be able to access information it holds. We take reasonable steps to make sure Google handles this information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and this Privacy Policy, for example through contract terms. We don't send your attachments to the AI service. We don't use AI for requests about gambling harm or self-exclusion, refunds or money disputes, account security, or privacy and legal matters. A person handles those from start to finish.
Files you upload are stored with Cloudflare, our storage provider, which may store them outside Australia, including in the United States.
We delete attachments 90 days after your request is closed. We keep the written record of your request for 2 years after it is closed, or 7 years if it is about a payment, refund, payout, commission or complaint, then delete it. We may keep any of it longer if we need it to deal with a dispute, a complaint or a legal requirement.
Please don't send passwords, card, bank, bookmaker account or ID details, or other people's personal information. If you do, we may delete it.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your support requests by emailing support@tipr.bet.
AI apps you connect
TIPR Pty Ltd (ABN 53 640 946 167) runs this feature.
If you're a verified tipster aged 18 or over, you can connect an AI app you use (for example Claude or ChatGPT) to your TIPR account. You choose to connect it, and you can remove it at any time in Account settings. The AI app is not run by TIPR.
- What the app can do. When you allow it, the app can read race meetings, races, results and tips on TIPR as you
would see them, see your display name and account type, and prepare tip drafts in your account. It can't publish
tips, Flip tips, buy Flips or place bets. You review and publish any draft yourself on tipr.bet.
- Prepare racing Single, Cover and Multi tip drafts, and sports Single and Cover tip drafts, for you to review and publish on tipr.bet.
- Look up sports games (date, sport, teams or participants, competition, start time, market names and outcome names) so you can describe a sports pick. TIPR does not send prices or odds.
- Read your own TIPR tipping record (such as tips, strike rate and ROI, profit on TIPR's $10 unit, rating tier, and recent results as profitable or not profitable) so your AI app can answer questions about your own stats. TIPR does not send other tipsters' private data or race form or prices.
- See your own published tips and how they finished.
- What we send and receive. We only send the app what it asks for through the connection, and we only receive what the app sends us (such as the race, runners and analysis for a draft). TIPR doesn't collect your conversations with the app.
- The app provider's own policy applies. Information we send to the app is handled by its provider (for example Anthropic or OpenAI) under that provider's own privacy policy. These providers may store and process it outside Australia and New Zealand, including in the United States, where their governments may be able to access it. By choosing Allow, you agree to TIPR sending this information to the app's provider, which may be outside Australia and New Zealand. Check the provider's policy before you connect.
- How the connection is secured. The connection uses a sign-in token that expires and is renewed automatically. We store tokens only in a scrambled (hashed or encrypted) form. A connection stops working 30 days after you choose Allow, or sooner if you remove it, change your password or sign out everywhere.
- What we record. We record when you connected each app, what it can do and the version of this notice you saw, and each request it makes (when, which app, what it asked for and whether it worked, but not the text of your analysis). You can see this activity in Account settings. We keep it for 12 months, then delete it automatically, unless we need it longer to deal with fraud, a dispute or a legal requirement. Tip drafts are deleted 30 days after their race.
- Your choices. Connecting an AI app is optional. If you don't connect one, nothing about your TIPR account changes. If you close your account, we delete your connection records and tip drafts, except anything the law requires us to keep.
- Access, correction, deletion and complaints. To get a copy of this information, correct it or ask us to delete what we don't need to keep, email support@tipr.bet. If you're not happy with how we handle a privacy concern, email support@tipr.bet first. You can then complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, in New Zealand, the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
Direct marketing and opting out
From time to time, we may use and disclose your personal information to inform you about TIPR (and its associated entities) products or services or about promotional activities, which TIPR believes, may be of interest or of benefit to you (provided that you have granted your express consent to receive such information). We may do this via email, SMS, telephone or other means.
If you no longer wish to receive marketing or promotional material from TIPR at all or in any particular form, you may contact us at any time by email at support@tipr.bet with your request with which we will comply as soon as is practical.
Where we send you commercial electronic messages for direct marketing purposes, each message will contain a functional means for you to opt-out of receiving such messages.
From time to time, we may contact you in relation to the opening, management, and administration of your TIPR account. These communications can be via any of the modes of contact recorded when you open an account, register as a member or which we otherwise collect for the purposes of opening an account. Such communication is not affected by your opt-in or opt-out status for direct marketing communications.
Feedback and bug reports
If you send us feedback or a bug report while signed in to TIPR, we collect what you write, any screenshots or screen recordings you upload, your account details, and basic details about your device and browser (such as device type, browser, operating system and app or site version).
We use this information to understand and fix problems, improve TIPR, reply to you if we need to, and decide whether to thank you with gift Flips. We don't use your uploads for advertising, and we don't send them to our AI help chat or any other AI service.
Please don't include passwords, betting or bookmaker account details, card or ID details, or other people's personal information in your feedback or uploads. If you do, we may delete it.
Uploads are stored with Cloudflare, our storage provider. Cloudflare may store and process them outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where it operates. We take reasonable steps to make sure Cloudflare handles this information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and this Privacy Policy, for example through contract terms. See "Use and disclosure of personal information" above.
When you send a report, we also email its text, your TIPR handle, the page you were on and basic device details to our support inbox so our team can respond quickly. We keep reports and these emails for up to 2 years, then delete them, unless we need them to resolve a complaint.
We delete feedback uploads after about 90 days. If we use your feedback (for example, you were the first to report a bug that we then fix, or you suggested an idea that we build or that changes something on TIPR), we keep it for as long as we need it for that purpose, or to deal with any dispute or legal requirement, and then delete it.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your feedback by emailing support@tipr.bet.
Security of PI and our website and mobile application
You acknowledge that no data transmission over the internet is totally secure. We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the security of your Personal Information and protect this information from loss, alteration, or misuse. TIPR's employees, agents and contractors are required to maintain the confidentiality of Members' PI.
Information communicated within a social media environment (for example, Facebook, Twitter, Chat Rooms) becomes public information. Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your username, password, and any account information. Please be careful whenever using the Internet, mobile application, and our website.
Our mobile application and website are meant for persons over the age of 18. If we learn that an individual under the age of 18 ("Children") has provided us with personal information, we will delete the member's account. It is, however, ultimately the responsibility of parents or guardians to monitor their children's Internet activities including where appropriate by using Internet screening software.
You are responsible for the security of and access to your own computer, mobile device or any other means used to access the mobile application or website. You must log out of your account when you have completed your time on the mobile application or website, and should not disclose your username, password, or any account information to any other person.
Cookies and app analytics
Our website uses functional cookies it needs to work: to keep you signed in, to protect the site, and to remember settings such as your time zone and country. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may also set cookies to protect the site from attacks and abuse. With your permission, our website also uses Google Analytics cookies to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are visited, the device and browser used, and an approximate location (such as city or country) worked out from your IP address. Analytics cookies are off unless you choose Accept on our cookie banner; if you choose Decline, we don't use them. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Our website doesn't use advertising cookies, and it shows no ads.
Our mobile app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Microsoft App Center to understand how the app is used and to report crashes. They collect app usage events, device details, an app identifier and an approximate location (such as city or country) worked out from your IP address. On Android, Firebase Analytics also collects your device's advertising ID, unless you have turned it off or deleted it in your device settings. They don't collect your name or email address, and we don't use them for advertising.

If you would like to do so, please send an email to support@tipr.bet. We will provide you with a copy of your personal information within a reasonable period after the request is made, usually within 30 days.
